Gary was very punctual. He got the job done fast and at a fair price. I just moved in the area and I'm always hesitant on new contractors. I highly recommend Greer plumbing for great honest work.

Hired GG Greer to fix a leaking toilet in a rental unit back in July. Charged me for a wax seal replacement. 6 months later toilet toilet is leaking again. Assumed renter broke the toilet and called GG Greer to fix it again. He suggested I call Greer Plumbing here in Festus to get a quicker response. Greer Plumbing went and fixed the toilet in Jan. Again it was a wax seal issue. Greer Plumbing, owned by GG Greer plumbings father stated that the wax seal had never been replaced the first time in July. Greer Plumbing offered to do the fix for free as his son had charged me the first time for a fix that never happened. GG Greer also refused to refund any of the payment for the first wax seal that was never applied according to Greer Plumbing of Festus. Either GG Greer never applied the first wax seal, he swears he did, or Greer Plumbing of Festus accused his son of not fixing the toilet and charged me for same fix a second time. I will give Greer Plumbing credit as he only charged me half for the fix the second time. GG Greer offered alot of excuses as to why the wax seal would appear to not have been replaced the first time. He swears it was replaced but regardless of what was replaced and when I paid two plumbers to fix the same issue with the same toilet within 6 months. Also when Greer plumbing of Festus stated that the wax seal had not been replaced in July he was unaware his son had done the first repair

      Response from the owner

I'm sorry that your seal failed, there are many factors as to why that could happen in a relatively short time especially in your scenario. I don't lie to my customers period. If it's written on the ticket,.. then I did it. What's for me to gain? 3 to 5 dollars for a wax ring? I will not risk my reputation on a cheap always readily available part, that isn't reusable. If you replace a wax ring and the flange move in relation the floor or if the flange flexes due to the fact that alot are plastic, or rusty metal possibly?, all can disturb a wax seal, if none of those issues are a factor, a wax ring I've installed, has held for the last 20yrs and I don't see having to pull it anytime soon! I assure you I have nothing to gain by trying to screw over anyone. Most of my business is word of mouth, I've been doing this since I was a little kid, and wax rings were one of my first jobs with my dad's company, one thing that was drilled in my head, was don't mess around with the company that puts food on your families table,... ever. Or the one that's named after yourself... and had you called me and said that I had replaced it 6 months ago I would have been there asap to assess what the failure was and if it was due to my fault... it would've been free, fyi. Miscommunication has never made any situation better, so as I said I'm sorry that you're upset but not nearly as upset as I am for anyone to think I lied to them, or performed sub par service, I can guarantee you that!

Showed up in a broken-down SUV not what I expected a plumber to show up in. Had to leave twice to go get parts. I wll never use Gary again.

      Response from the owner

The vehicle that I use for winter weather is not broken down in any way and if I have to leave for parts that's done without charge to you, soo... we're you offended by my choice of vehicle? Or did I do something to offend you? I know that a temporary service vehicle is not the most professional means of transportation but I'd like to ensure that I get to everyone's job in our wonderful state of many daily climates! Better than calling to postpone or cancel due to being in an accident or stuck. And like my Google description states this was company was started so that I could support my recently growing family, so I guess I'm sorry to have offended you by not dropping a 100k on a brand new truck? Most people I meet are just happy that I answered when they called, showed up when I was supposed to, got the job done and didn't charge a small fortune.
