    I had Robert come over and look at the work I needed - he said $2,000-2,200 cost roughly - connecting a bathtub, replacing a shower valve, and extending the pipes of a single sink to a double, while the entire bathroom is gutted and there is an easy access to everything including removed walls around the tub (never mind Heather, his wife and/or office manager had kept insisting on $130/hr, which sounded like I would get a break-down of some kind of the cost). I called the next morning expressing my commitment to the work (before 8.30 AM). Upon providing my email, the cost listed on the proposed invoice was $2,500...I tried asking why and pointing out to the extra work included (again, no break-down, a list of "services" and a total amount of $2,500). Heather "professionally" said, "it is what it is and we need 50% deposit to start a week from now" (Robert's explanation had been he "would fit me in" here and there and get it done sooner). I asked that I speak with Robert and stated I was ready to make the deposit, just needed to go over the scope of work, but he was busy, I was told. I left a message on Robert's cell phone and so did my wife...no response. I called the number listed online, it turned out his company merged with another one in Ashland, S.A.A.B. Plumbing & Heating, Inc... I spoke with a person answering the calls, left my name and number...no call back. When I did the math, it turned out the invoice was for 19+ hours of work. On a really bad day, a semi-professional, should be able to do the work in 60-70% less of the time (and that's with a severe headache from a hangover). But these folks stick to their numbers, it looks like, because there is plenty of work nowadays. I wonder what will happen in a few months?! I would strongly suggest anyone in need for plumbing services to look elsewhere!!! My experience was like a Mickey Mouse Club House!

    This customer called us on a Tuesday, we came out that same day for a FREE estimate around 4pm. We then provided the customer a written proposal the following morning. The caller was doing his own demo and after lining up a tile guy he then realized he needed a plumber to install his tub that he purchased online. The new tub did not line up with the original plumbing, he also wanted to convert a single vanity to a double vanity. The price we gave him was to complete the rough plumbing and return once the tile was dry to finish setting all the owner supplied fixtures. Rob gave him a verbal range in person and said that he will work the numbers that night and get back to him with a price. Rob did exactly what he told the caller he would do, and he did it in a timely manner. The customer told him he was getting other quotes from other plumbers. We told him that once he has made a decision that he would need to provide a deposit so that we can reserve a date for his bathroom. Every now and then we run into these situations where the homeowner plays GC, most of the time it's not an issue but every now and again it doesn't always work out. We highly recommend to those who want to remodel their bathroom to hire a licensed professional that will help you hire the subcontractors needed to plumb, tile and wire your bathroom. Unfortunately for this caller he started this process before consulting with a plumber and was putting us under pressure to help him get his bathroom back together again with only a days notice. I am sorry but this job was a not a good fit for us, in order for us to best serve our customers we need to see these projects in advance to prepare them with the cost and to have the ability to schedule the work in advance to finish on the customer's time table. We appreciate your feedback even though it was a negative review we understand that we are living in uncertain times and although we are still in a pandemic we strive to provide our customers with Service Above and Beyond!

    Have used Bourn Plumbing on several occasions! Fast, friendly service! Was super impressed that the owner, Rob, asked if he could take his shoes off before entering the house. And, that he cleaned up when he was done--you can tell he takes pride in his work and his business! Have referred them to friends who have been equally pleased with their standard or service and quality of work.

    We would recommend Bourn Plumbing Co because of our satisfaction with their work. Rob came early in the day to fix a sink drain that was leaking and had it fixed quickly. The price was also good.
